Comments from DSaroyan (WMF)[edit]

Hello Kaizenify, thanks for submitting this Rapid Fund proposal. Here are my questions and comments after reviewing the grant request:

  • Could you please confirm that Wikimedia Nigeria UG hasn't received the General Support fund yet? If you have received it, we will not be able to move forward with this current proposal given your and Olaniyan Olushola's engagement in Wikimedia Nigeria UG.
  • Could you please provide more details about the need for accommodation and travel? Are there any active community members where you plan to run this series of activities? Is the location far from your location?
  • Please reduce the food and coffee break expenses to 12 USD per person maximum. Please update the total requested budget once this change is made.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 08:25, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Response to WMF[edit]

Thank you DSaroyan (WMF) for taking time to review this and below are the responses:

  • Wikimedia Nigeria UG hasn’t received the general support funds yet and this project is an individual project. I have modified the grant page to include Princess of Ara who is an experienced Wikipedia editor and has confirmed participation as a facilitator and thus removed Olaniyan Olushola as having both of us makes it look like a Wikimedia Nigeria UG project. Hope this is fine?
  • The accommodation is only for two experienced facilitators (which include me) which are based in Lagos due to the familiarity with the climate context and the proposed location for the training is at Ibadan. We also have volunteers who are within the city and has confirmed to make themselves available as volunteers aswell; which include SuperSwift.
  • I have updated this now.

Thanks once again and best regards. Kaizenify (talk) 12:47, 4 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
