Comments from WMF[edit]

Hi, Manouka, thank you for submitting this final report and your expense documentation. I have reviewed it and have two requests:

  • Please take the information currently in the report's "Outcome" section and move it to the "Goals" section. You do not need to put it in a table.
  • In the "Outcome" section, please report on whether or not you met the targets you established in the "Impact" section of your original proposal. Please use the table here.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Report accepted[edit]

Hi, Manouka, thank you for making those updates! I have reviewed your expense documentation and your final report and am accepting both. Congratulations, this grant is now complete!

  • Even though you did not meet your participation goal of 40 people, you still had very high turnout and it sounds like you were able to recruit a reliable group of contributors. Has that already had an impact on the user group's work, or is it too early to say?
  • As you experienced, it can be a big challenge to follow through with a planned activity when the professional or personal circumstances of life change. Your strategy of recruiting a team of people to help plan, organize, and execute events is a very good idea. If the work is split amongst several people it ensures that the project is able to withstand any changes in people's schedules. We look forward to hearing if this has an impact on your future events!

Thank you for all the hard work you put into this grant and for sharing all you learned with WMF and the community.

Hi LSmith (WMF), For now, it is too early to measure the impact. Indeed, the goal of training users and creating a working group is achieved. The second part of our project is to make this team work. A group meeting will be organized at the end of the first half of 2019 to plan a work plan that will allow us to put into practice the training received.Kindly. Hi, Manouka. Understood! Please feel free to update us here as the plan develops. That's not required, but if you learn interesting things along the way we are always eager to hear them. Warmly, LSmith (WMF) (talk) 23:13, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
