Report accepted[edit]

Hello Medea7, thank you so much for submitting this grant report. I have reviewed and accepted it with the following comments and questions:

  • I am glad that despite the obstacles over the COVID-19, you have been able to organize this event doing a great job. I am sorry that your co-organizer left the team due to personal reasons.
  • I am also happy that the participants have realized the importance of addressing the gender gap and online harassment on Wikipedia. How many countries were represented at your event? Were all of the participants UN delegates?
  • What resources have you used to raise awareness of human rights and online harassment?
  • Could you please add a link to the Outreach Dashboard on the report page?

Thanks again for your hard work and dedication. The report and expense documents have been successfully accepted; your grant is now complete! Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:03, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for looking it all through. About your questions:
  • We had five nationalities: Germany, Switzerland, USA, Ghana and India. Half of the people are UN-NGO-Delegates.
  • As last year the focus was on the SDGs with exhibitions in the UN HQ we used as resources experiences from CSW63. The NGO-Event #protectjournalists at CSW63 was attended by two delegates and we talked about it. Besides we were talking about the Anti Harassment toolkit that I got to know at the web meeting on 28th of February. Just one day before there was a virtual event by the Webgrrls community in Germany where Christa Goede presented her research on hate in the web and her theory where it comes from, what it is used for etc. In her opinion it is a political issue to do with fascist mechanism.
  • The link to the Dashboard is added. Also there is a short report on the page of the Webgrrls community in Germany.
Dear Medea7, thanks for responding to my questions and providing additional information on your project! I'm wishing you all the best for your future work. Cheers, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 08:24, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
