Hi Wikitanvir, thanks for submitting this grant proposal to support the Bangladeshi Wikimedia community! I have reviewed it and have a few questions:

  • The proposed grant duration is only 1 month — 1-31 July 2021. Do you expect to make all expenses and carry out all activities within July?
  • Could you please provide the link to your website? Who will optimize and improve it? Approximately, how many hours will be spent on this work?
  • Could you please confirm that the improved website will also be published under a CC license?
  • How many FAQ Booklets do you plan to print?

Hi Davit, thanks for the queries. Here are the answers to your questions.
  • Most of the payments will be performed digitally and they're mostly ready to be paid (like domain and hosting renewals) so we believe that project completion within 30 days is possible if nothing unforeseen happens. However, July 1st is only two days away, so if we start a bit late, we may need to extend a few days, but we will inform the grants team beforehand.
  • A low-cost freelance web developer will be hired to update the sites. From initial estimates, we figure 40 working hours will be required along with some paid themes and plugins.
  • Yes, the existing site has its contents published under CC-BY-SA 4.0 International license.
  • We plan to print 500 booklets

Requesting extension of grant's end date[edit]

I'm requesting an extension of the project's end date till 31 August 2021 and adjust the reporting deadline accordingly. We've received the money later than anticipated so couldn't start the project on time. Now that we've received the approved budget, we can go forward with our project.
