Feedback about your request[edit]

Dear salvor,

Your idea of building local partnerships to incorporate QRpedia into Westfjords' tourism industry sounds very interesting! We're very interested in supporting your plans, but we need a little more information first.

  • Your proposal is very clear about the overall problem you will tackle, and how you'll tackle it. We would like more clarity about what specific aims you have for this particular meeting, as a step toward your overall goal. We'd like you to provide specific targets for the meeting. For example, you mentioned that you hope to wrap up this project by summer 2017 so the QR codes will be available for the tourist season. If you don't already have one, an output of this meeting might be a timeline for the project that sketches out interim deadlines to guide what needs to get done to be finished by summer 2017. Other outputs might be a list of places in Westfjords for which you want to improve articles and creat QR codes. You might also make a list of offline activities you want to host to work on the articles. We'd like to see one output be a cemented list of partnerships that lays out what role each partner will have. The more specific you can be in what you hope to accomplish in the meeting, the more likely it is to be productive.
  • We assume that at some point this project will result in production of plaques, or some other means of presenting the QR codes to tourists. You should know that WMF typically does not pay for the production of QR plaques. You may wish to bring this up in your meeting to see if any of the partners you're convening at the meeting can contribute funds for the production of plaques.

Thanks for submitting this proposal, salvor!

Warm regards,
