Grants talk:Project/Rapid/WikiActivate/Training on Wikiquote & Wikidata

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Not funded[edit]

Hi Chukydyk, thank you for submitting your grant application. We appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of the Wikimedia Movement. After a thorough review of your application, we have decided to not fund your Rapid Fund request. Here's my feedback and what we recommend you to improve for your next grants:

  • The project scope and related activities are unclear.
  • I don't think it's viable to train all participants on how to edit on all mentioned Wikimedia projects in just two days.
  • It's unclear who will run the training sessions on other Wikimedia projects. I couldn't determine any recent activities on the mentioned Wikimedia projects from you. Additionally, it seems that no one from the team member has relevant experience.
  • Community notification isn't done properly. It's mentioned that the community has been notified in a Telegram group but I couldn't find any notice. You are required to notify your active community members and discuss this proposal with them in advance.
  • I couldn't find organizer's plan regarding the follow up activities especially on these Wikimedia projects.
  • I couldn't see a clear need for involving facilitators from other locations especially given that the relevant experience is unclear.

Thanks again for your work for the movement. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 12:21, 29 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
