Hi Cbrescia, thanks for submitting this comprehensive grant report and for running the Wiki Loves Andes project in Peru! We appreciate the activities you carried out and the quality content you created. I reviewed and accepted the expense documents and final report with the following comments and questions:

  • Congratulations on meeting and exceeding almost all initial goals!
  • It’s great to hear that you reached many participants and viewers. What was your communication strategy? What outreach activities were most successful in reaching out to new audiences?
  • Thanks for your overall contributions and for creating training videos for different kinds of Wikipedia articles. I think that having tutorial videos for similar topics is very important.
  • Are you planning to organize Wiki Loves Andes this year too?
  • We are glad to hear that your partnership with Arte+Feminismo Peru was productive and fruitful. Do you support each other in other Wikimedia activities too?

Once again, we are grateful for your work and dedication! Your project is now marked as completed. Best regards, DSaroyan (WMF) (talk) 10:04, 2 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi DSaroyan (WMF), thanks for your message. Here are some answers:
* As a communication strategy we used digital flyers that we posted in our channels in Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and sent emails to our past participants. Arte+Feminismo.Peru also sent emails and posted the flyers in their Facebook page. We also used the Wikimedians of Peru User Group channels and a one month and 10 days banner from Central Notice that was on 8 times per day. I believe that one of the most successful outreach activites was to post the flyer about the event in some specialized facebook groups, for example: Flora of Peru. In groups like this information about plants and pictures about them are very welcomed by the members of the group, which is very organized and post about things that are not plants are banned. This makes a realize that when a community is well organized and has experience, communication that arrives in their social networks is noticed.
* For 2021 we have applied to the Project grants program and our project was approved. In the project's actitivies we have included a one-month editathon similar to the one on January 2020 dedicated to culture and ecology topics. We also have included workshops, webinars and contests.
* Our partnership with Arte+Feminismo.Peru has been very productive. This alliance is based on on the field shared working experiences, similar goals and friendship. We are supporting each other as together we presented the Project grant proposal that was approved this year. Also, as we are implementing more activities this year and the next one, this financial support allow us to contribute in Wikimedia actitivies with the Wikimedians of Peru User Group too.
