Hi Alangi Derick. Thank you for this request. A camera will be a great resource for the user group! Based on the type of photography (buildings, nature, events), a more basic dslr would be a good option. For example, the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 or the Nikon 3400. Have you considered a camera like this?
From my experience, a camera like the Canon EOS 80D may be too complicated of a camera for people that are not using it all the time and comfortable with the settings/options. I agree that it will be good to have a backpack, SD cards, and a couple of lenses (one 18-35mm and one zoom). Let me know what you think about the above. - Hello Alex Wang (WMF), thanks so much for your comment. Actually, these options you listed are still very good and will get us high quality pictures. I think the Canon EOS Rebel SL2 is fine. We will go with this one. So yes, that is the new choice and it will make things easier for us in terms of manipulating / using all the options of the camera :).
