Request not funded[edit]

Dear Bobbyshabangu,

Though there are elements of your proposed idea that sound promising, your proposal as a whole lacks clarity in its goals and plan for execution. It is also not clear exactly what event you will be participating in, since your event website links to a press release and not to a website for an event on March 10. This date is not mentioned in the press release.

In my comments on your last TPS report, I noted significant reservations about the questionable outcomes you described from your TEDX talk. I specifically requested that, should you apply again, you needed to write a much clearer plan for how to achieve higher quality outcomes and I advised you to seek support from a WMF Program Officer to get help with this planning before you submitted your proposal. Given the very vague plan you have submitted at this time, with unclear contextual information about the event, I am not comfortable funding you again at this time.

Before we fund you again, we would very much like you to consult with us first about how to construct a robust participation plan.

We do appreciate your desire to support free knowledge in your context, and to promote gender equity on Wikipedia.

Warm regards,
