Grants talk:TPS/EPO/FSCONS 2011

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hi, Simon.

Please re-create this page from the Grants:Participation page, and use the template provided there, rather than this template, which is for non-participation grants. The sections in the participation template make more sense, are shorter, and would let us track things more tidily. Thanks, and sorry for the extra hassle -- this is new! :) Ijon 20:23, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Classic n00b mistake. I should know better than not reading the guidelines. Should be better now. --EPO 07:39, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hej med dig! Just for clarification: Is the Danish chapter unable to fund the trips? I wonder whether it wouldn't make sense to have the budget in €, as this would likely be disbursed by WMDE --Johannes Rohr (WMDE) 12:19, 28 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
AFAIK, WMDK does not have any revenue sources or cash reserves. It is planning some GLAM activity with a grant awarded by the WMF, but has no general budget. Ijon 01:20, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The Danish chapter has not enough funds to finance this trip. It won't make any difference if the amounts are written in USD or EUR. Most of the expenses will be in SEK which is not pegged to the Euro. But just for you I will make a seperate column :) --EPO 08:17, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Sverige has already offered WMDK, WMNO and WMFI grants to participate, but has not recieved any applications directly. I suggest that this grant is payed by WMSE. --Ainali 21:14, 29 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, would it be possible for you to figure this out between the two of you until Wednesday and then add a note to this page, indicating, whether or not there still is a need for support through the participation grants programme? I am asking this as the Participation Grants Committee is to meet again by Wednesday. --Johannes Rohr (WMDE) 09:44, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
WMSE has now confirmed that they will cover expenses for both of us. Therefore there is no need for Foundation anylonger to cover the expenses. --EPO 16:14, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, cool, have a nice meeting in Gothenburg! --Johannes Rohr (WMDE) 16:16, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
