Feedback on your report

[edit]

Dear Mohammed Galib Hasan,

Before we can review this report, we need you to itemize your receipts, clearly labeling each receipt indicating whom the receipt was for (either Mohammed or Jui-lin). Since your grants are separate by individual, we need to know which person each expense is for.

Can you please also clarify what you are submitting to meet your outcome requirement?

I am also pinging Nichole Saad (WMF) to ask for her review and comments on this report.

Thank you and warm regards,

--Marti (WMF) (talk) 17:45, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Follow up from Education Team

[edit]

Thank you for this report on your participation at ICEEL2017. It seems like it was good to foster some regional connections between emerging activity in Bangladesh and some more longstanding programs in Taiwan, and sharing these perspectives with the stakeholders at the conference. I'm also glad you were able to connect with the local Wikimedian community in Bangkok.

  • I'm hopeful that the specific follow up opportunities with the educators in Sri Lanka are able to result in some new Wikipedia in Education activities there. The first steps have been taken, connecting interested professors with local community. It sounds like the professors will come back with questions or specific requests? Are there any other steps that should be taken to support this new opportunity right now?
  • Thank you for documenting in your blog post and newsletter post.
  • Aside from the interested professors from the conference, I wonder if there were any common/frequent questions you got from your audience. What do you think would help your audience take the next step to start a Wikipedia activity in their classrooms?

I'm hoping this experience may also help you in our local context to stimulate education activities, and will look for more on that in future. Tighe Flanagan (WMF) (talk) 17:44, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Tighe Flanagan (WMF) for your follow up in the report.

  • i am very happy to inform you that as per my follow up University of Sri Jayewardenepura are going to Start a Wiki Club there, by the help of Department of Economics and English. They will get the official Confirmation from the University Soon. Here you can Check how we plan to run the program in Sri Jayewardenepura University Wiki Club. Already 23 Students signed up for the program. I will send you a Concept paper for this Wiki Club Soon.
  • Yes i have faced One frequent questions in our conference that is related to Our Community building in Wiki Edu Program. most of the participants said that they all know about Wikipedia but they are quite unfamiliar with Wiki Edu Program. two Professor from Kuwait and Ethiopia suggested me to Create two new Wiki Edu Community for Asia and Africa where we can centralized and spread our program more.

Perhaps i am looking forward to Start Our Wiki Club soon as its almost finished and hopefully will get much support from Wiki Edu Team regarding this. Thanks again. Mohammed Galib Hasan (talk) 06:32, 13 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
