Request funded[edit]

Dear Nafie shehu,

I have just reviewed your report from your last request and I enjoyed reading it. In your last request, you set wonderful goals and numeric targets for yourself and I wanted to ask if you could create numeric targets for yourself with this request, too? It's a great way to concretely communicate what you hope to accomplish. Please post those in your request and then ping me on your talkpage. Remember that your goals should demonstrate how your participation will contribute to Wikimedia projects.

In the meantime, I'm going to go ahead and approve funding for this request, since this event isn't very far off. Before you decide to accept funding support, please make sure to read all of the steps required of TPS participants and confirm that you are prepared to meet our requirements, as described in the "How the program works" page.

Note that you will need to submit a post-event report, due 14 days after the event. The report requires you to link to an outcome. Fulfilling the outcome requirement tends to be the most challenging task for TPS recipients. Please consider in advance how you would meet the requirement. Some applicants mistakenly assume they can submit the materials they presented at the event (such as a slide deck, a research paper or a poster) to meet the outcome requirement. We do like you to link to your presentation materials, but they do not meet the outcome requirement. An outcome must be something that is created during or after the event because of your participation. The purpose is to extend the value of your participation beyond the conference. For example, your outcome could be something new that was co-created by you and your fellow participants at the event, like one or more articles on Wikipedia improving content about a topic that conference participants know about. Your outcome could also be a blog post you write after the event to share your conference learnings with others who did not attend the conference. You may also write a learning pattern to teach others something you've learned at the event. If you are not sure how to meet the outcome requirement, we recommend that you reach out to us with questions.

You were successful in completing the outcome requirement for your last request, so I don't think this will be too challenging for you.  :-)

Our Grants Administrator will be in touch with you about your grant. Thank you for work on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation.

Dear Marti (WMF) ,

You can find here what I expect that my outcome will be. Please let me know if you have any other questions or should I provide more information.
