Dear Sahaquiel9102,

Thank you for submitting this report. I am glad to hear that you made good connections during this event. Do you have plans for how you will support these new connections going forward? If so, please let us know of your plans and perhaps we can suggest additional support Thank you for sharing a link to your blog post. I enjoyed seeing the photos of the event and reading about your take on the value you see in offering Wikipedia in their languages to young speakers of indigneous languages. Based on what you wrote, I wanted to share with you about a project we recently funded through our Project Grants program: Strengthening Indigenous Language Wikipedias in Latin America. If you have not already met Eddie Avila (User:Barrioflores), please let me know if you would like me to make an introduction, or of course, you are free to reach out directly. His email address is eddie@globalvoices.org. You will see in the project page I linked to above that his work overlaps with your own interests and you may like to collaborate!

Our grants administrator will be in touch shortly to follow up about your reimbursement. We recognize that your expenses went slightly above your approved request. We are approving the cost of the additional expenses, increasing your total award to 48,400 COP.

Thanks, Marti (WMF) for the mention. Yes, I'm already connected with Sebastian Sahaquiel9102 and met him in person in Bogotá a couple of years ago. Rodrigo already interviewed him about his group's previous work and interest with this topic, as part of our series of conversations with affiliates. They've been very supportive of our initiative.

Hi Marti! Some participants give to me their cellphone numbers. I'll try to keep in contact with them and engage them to edit. As Eddit said, we met in Bogotá. He and his network invite us to talk about Wikipedia. His help is really value to us. Thanks Marti and the grant team for your help! --Sahaquiel9102 (talk) 21:54, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
