Thank you for submitting this grant application. We are excited about you hosting this databox event and hope it can help improve the knowledge gap. The Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria community Support Fund Committee has reviewed your application and they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

  • Please clarify the exact Wikimedia projects you are going to be improving and do you have the curated choice of places for improvement?
  • We will also like to know if you have reached out to the Igbo community about the proposal prior.
  • Considering there is a venue fee that comes with service, we feel the projector renting won't be needed as the venue comes with a projector; please amend.
  • Lastly, since the project doesn’t involve photo upload, data of N500 per participant would suffice.

Dear @Ayokanmi (WUGN):,
My responses to the questions are below:
  • We will improve the Igbo Wikipedia articles on the mainspace and translate the databox information (properties and items) on Wikidata
  • Yes, I informed my community.
  • The venue has no projector please. The service refers to provision of diesel for venue generator
  • With the work load involved and the number of hours to be spent, I believe data of 1000 Naira will be sufficient for the program. I therefore will appreciate if 1000 Naira data is considered.
