Dear @Atibrarian:,

Thank you for submitting this grant application. We really appreciate your interest in contributing to the mission of Wikimedia in Nigeria. The Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria community support fund committee has asked that you review your budget to suit that the allocated fund limit first before your application can be review.

This should be done on or before 30th of November for your application to be considered.

Thank you once again for the understanding. Best Regards,

Further comment-[edit]

Dear Atibrarian,

Thank you for effecting the adjustment. The Wikimedia Usergroup Nigeria community support fund committee has further reviewed your application, and they have some follow-up questions and requests regarding your application:

  • We are happy that this proposal will further accelerate the growing community in Northeast Nigeria
  • Per the scope of the project; we request that you adjust the data reimbursement to 500 instead per participant as it doesnt involve heavy data.
  • Also, please adjust the light refreshment cost to not be more than 2,000 per participant.
  • Lastly, please define what the SWAG will be about and the need?

We look forward to your response and thank you for your work within the Wikimedia Nigeria outreach.

On behalf of the WUGN Community Support Fund Committee. All the best, Ayokanmi (WUGN) (talk) 00:13, 1 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thank you @Ayokanmi (WUGN) for the words of encouragement.
About your further questions, the following clarification is provided:
  • Data reimbursement: the recent increments on prices of data subscription by telecommunication (ISP) providers makes it difficult for a downward review. Furthermore, the program is slated for 2 days of meetups and refresher training with 2-week edit-a-thon which requires heavy data usage.
  • Refreshments: a correction has been made to it as was a typo error.
  • SWAG: is the budget for customized T-shirts for the facilitators and 1st top contributor.
Hopefully, there will be an upward review of the microgrant funds for more impactful programs in the community.
Kind regards, Atibrarian (talk) 09:18, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
