Hausa Wikimedians User Group/Report 2021

This report outlines the accomplishments and activities of the Hausa Wikimedians user group between August 2020 to July, 2021.

Activities[edit]

We have had an increase in the number of new active users and content creation in Hausa Wikipedia as well increase in page viewers to the site all as a result of the various activities carried out for the Hausa Wikipedia project. We have also reached 10,000+ articles.
We had an incraesed in the number of articles and new users on Hausa wiktionary project as well
We have been selected as one of the focus language communities for the Wikidata lexicographical data project, we organised a project on adding Hausa lexemes on Wikidata and taught our users on how to contribute to the project.
We also carried out a project on Wiktionary and have got many editors into contributing to the project
We have participated in the global Wiki for Human Rights campaign for the first time.
We have also supported and participated in giving trainings at many individual activities carried out by some of our user group members.

Decolonise_the_Internet_(Nigeria) We participated in the DecolonizeTheInternet joined project with other affiliates in Nigeria supported by Goethe Institute
