- You cannot edit ressources in the MediaWiki namespace with the wiki editor.
- These resources are imported by bots from Translate.net where they are created by translators. Go there and select the MediaWiki project, and Japanese. Then starts translating what is missing.

- @Verdy p: Well, although what you said is correct about those messages that are part of MediaWiki, I'm afraid this particular case is different. The problem is that on TranslateWiki.net you don't have a message called Sisterprojects. Having a "system message" under this name is just a convention on this wiki and some other places. Although for future we could perhaps use MediaWiki:search-interwiki-caption, which seems to be an equivalent in MediaWiki, I think it won't hurt to localize MediaWiki:Sisterprojects on Meta, which has been historically used for years (and thus contained in many revisions in the history of many pages). whym (talk) 10:24, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
