You cannot edit ressources in the MediaWiki namespace with the wiki editor.
These resources are imported by bots from Translate.net where they are created by translators. Go there and select the MediaWiki project, and Japanese. Then starts translating what is missing.

@Verdy p: Well, although what you said is correct about those messages that are part of MediaWiki, I'm afraid this particular case is different. The problem is that on TranslateWiki.net you don't have a message called Sisterprojects. Having a "system message" under this name is just a convention on this wiki and some other places. Although for future we could perhaps use MediaWiki:search-interwiki-caption, which seems to be an equivalent in MediaWiki, I think it won't hurt to localize MediaWiki:Sisterprojects on Meta, which has been historically used for years (and thus contained in many revisions in the history of many pages). whym (talk) 10:24, 28 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
