Requests for comment/"From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" incompletely translated into Indonesian

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

The following request for comments is closed. Nothing to do centrally. It seems that any action to be taken here would be taken locally on English Wikipedia (or on other projects as the case may be). StevenJ81 (talk) 22:59, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I just found out from my Preferences that I can change my menu language on English Wikipedia, but when I changed it to Indonesian (because so I am), I saw that the phrase "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" below every page title is translated into Indonesian as "Dari Wikipedia" (lit. "From Wikipedia"). That's it. Incompletely translated. May I ask for its complete translation (i.e. "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" → "Dari Wikipedia, ensiklopedia bebas"? I know it's a silly ask, but I just feel weird if that trademark phrase (I know it's not literal) is incompletely translated, especially into my first language. Thank you for your consideration☺️ —Angga (talk) 19:48, 17 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Why Requests for comment? You could just simple ask the question on WM:FORUM. Anyway, the default English text is "From Wikipedia", but they have created a local modified text as "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". So if you want to change the Indonesian translation only in English Wikipedia, you should ask it on English Wikipedia. The interface message is en:MediaWiki:Tagline. On Indonesian Wikipedia, the tagline is "Dari Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia, ensiklopedia bebas" (From Indonesian Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). --Agusbou2015 (talk) 01:25, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
