Discuss the creation of this language project on this page. Votes will be ignored when judging the proposal. Please provide arguments or reasons and be prepared to defend them (see the Language proposal policy).
The language committee needs to verify the language is eligible to be approved.
Check that the project does not already exist (see list).
Ensure the requested language is sufficiently unique that it could not exist on a more general wiki.
Ensure that there are a sufficient number of native editors of that language to merit an edition in that language.
The community needs to develop an active test project; it must remain active until approval (automated statistics). It is generally considered active if the analysis lists at least three active, not-grayed-out editors listed in the sections for the previous few months.
Item about the language at Wikidata. It would normally include the Wikimedia language code, name of the language, etc. Please complete at Wikidata if needed.
"Wikisource talk" (the discussion namespace of the project namespace)
Enable uploads
no
Default is "no". Preferably, files should be uploaded to Commons.
If you want, you can enable local file uploading, either by any user ("yes") or by administrators only ("admin"). Notes: (1) This setting can be changed afterwards. The setting can only be "yes" or "admin" at approval if the test creates an Exemption Doctrine Policy (EDP) first. (2) Files on Commons can be used on all Wikis. (3) Uploading fair-use images is not allowed on Commons (more info). (4) Localisation to your language may be insufficient on Commons.
For example, a Wikisource would need "Page", "Page talk", "Index", "Index talk", "Author", "Author talk".

The development of Wikisource content in Sundanese in the multilingual domain has been going on for years and is growing. With a separate subdomain, it is hoped that the development can be more focused and easier for contributors. --Kumincir (talk) 09:27, 6 February 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I support this proposal since I'm still working a project to transliterate and transcribe Sundanese manuscripts using Wikisource tool -- Ilham.nurwansah (talk) 04:15, 29 July 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Support Sundanese Wikisource is one of the earliest Wikisource in Indonesia (2004), and the earliest to held Wikisource proofreading contests (albeit on en.ws). Sundanese language has many books, with more are being uploaded from GLAM Indonesia partnership with Sundanese GLAM institutions. Sundanese Wikisource deserves to have it's own domain. On November, there's a batch of new contributors joining. Hopefully most of them will continue proofreading. ✒Bennylin 15:00, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Support for Sundanese Wikisource to have its own domain. In early 2023, there was a proofreading competition held in this project. This indirectly increased the number of edits and attracted new contributors to join. Hopefully, things like this will continue in the future.
