Research talk:Committee/Areas of interest/Significant support

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

minima setting[edit]

Anyone mind if I restructure this as any research on a Wikimedia project has to do x, to get significant support it also has to do y? WereSpielChequers 20:42, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fine with you giving it a go. Just try to sync the changes with Research Committee/WMF support and requirements and Research Committee/Areas of interest/Open-access policy. -- Daniel Mietchen 21:18, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Storing and anonymizing data[edit]

WSC, "any data collected from individual editors is held securely and only published in an anonymised form" I don't see how this could be part of the conditions to be met to consider that a project has received significant support. It's more a requirement we will need to enforce on data sharing, am I missing something? --DarTar 21:17, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Same problem here - don't think that item fits where it sits right now. -- Daniel Mietchen 21:19, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it should be moved, I agree: those points seem alternatives, and it's clear that despite being encouraged or even required this practice doesn't imply any "significant support". Nemo 07:59, 26 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
