w:Wikipedia:Community portal has many examples, such as [1].

w:WP:BACKLOG is also full of things which have become various sorts of campaigns over the decades. James Salsman (talk) 15:04, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hausa Community[edit]

I'm really interested in organizing campaigns and also happy to find this team. I think we will have a great time working together. But I have to say the method of campaigns I have in mind and the one I'm working on currently is slightly different from what I'm seeing here.

At it's right now. I'm working on a Covid 19 Awareness Campaign on social media.

This campaigns entails educating our local community (Hausa community) on Social media i.e WhatsApp and Facebook. About Covid 19, using Wikipedia related articles. We ought to translate them from English to the local language i.e Hausa.

I'm also planning to organised a campaign on Cancer and some STD's using Wikipedia articles on social media.

This is because Wikipedia is one of the trusted means of acquiring information to our community. Anything on wiki is considered trusted in our community.

So I'm using that to educate our community, Hausa community and increase readership of the Wikipedia pages.

I do hope, you can help. Musa Vacho77 (talk) 12:49, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Musa Vacho77 that sounds like a great idea! Let us know if you have any questions, or if you need help thinking through one of your tactics. There are also a number of oroganizers in Nigeria who regularly run campaigns there, so we can help you identify them as well, Astinson (WMF) (talk) 14:57, 5 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
