I had actually posted this as a German to English translation on the site upwork.com; I listed it at $20 US dollars, but I got two bids for $10. Since this is now redundant, I'd like to offer to pay for one or two other languages -- I can simply redo my bid on that site. @Lyzzy: One does not think about it, sitting down on a chair or the ground, but one really does have an interest in the firmness of the soil, the strength of the structure. You expect, even assume, that it is sound, that it is well-built and fit for purpose. At the molecular level both the chair and the ground are made up of empty space, yet one has faith that one's own self - also mostly space - will not pass through the surface. But the structure of the ground or a chair may be, or may become, unsafe. One should never need to constantly question "Is this chair able hold my weight?" "Is this soil going to sink beneath me?"

If you must do so, you are in a dangerous environment.

And you should leave. Or change it. But not complacently accept being in a place you cannot sit safely.

This is also true of the Foundation. Wikimedians should not accept a board which manifestly cannot serve its purpose.
