Emphasize common goals of paid staff and volunteers[edit]

The section is well-written and adequately describes the status quo. However, it seems to me that we are missing the opportunity to improve the potential for collaboration between paid staff and volunteers. On the one hand, some volunteer contributors become paid staff at some time. On the other hand, they have the potential to spend time contributing to Wikimedia projects, which requires a privileged social status. Assuming that paid staff is not organized in a military-style top-down organization, one might regard paid staff as humans contributing to Wikimedia projects. My wish would be to formulate the goal to put the power to the people who do things regardless of where their funding comes from. --Physikerwelt (talk) 19:21, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict with value of inclusion?[edit]

Is there a need for this "has sufficient time and skills should be allowed"? Maybe it is not meant but it does sound like its going against the idea of inclusivity stated in the values? Shyamal (talk) 11:17, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Like nations?[edit]

"Wikimedia communities have full editorial control of the content in their individual Wikimedia project" - does this not have the potential to produce the same kinds of conflicts that exist between nations? Shyamal (talk) 11:21, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

MCDC ambassadors program: Brazilian community consultation[edit]

Hey folks! Thank you all for your great work. As an ambassador of the Charter in my community, I'm writing several posts on Diff and Movement Strategy Forum about what I'm hearing in my community. Here's one that I think will interest you! Tnx. Alebasi24 msg 01:24, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
