Talk:Offline Projects/Movement Brand Project

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Can someone correct the typo in the name of the page? Libcub (talk) 04:13, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected.

Unsure where to comment -- I generally don't find any of the proposed triples very helpful. A few elements in here could be useful -- calling groups "Wikigroup" rather than "Wikimedia User Group" feels fitting to me, given the casual nature of many groups. And adding taglines like "part of the Wikipedia family" to sister projects would help clarify their connection. Even finding ways to highlight WP-style globe logos or the W letter-mark across projects.

I don't find it useful to talk about the foundation as the Wikipedia * Foundation because there is such deep uncertainty and miscommunication b/t the foundation and projects precisely around identity, self-governance, and messaging. It has been useful for them to be able to evolve separately; if we want them to come back together in some way that should start with realignment of goals and processes, and not with naming. –SJ talk  16:31, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
