I am not sure mail:social-media is the best destination for the task we may have. Those permissions could have private information and whatever else and even if that mailing list were not public it's still a place with rather badly controlled access. I suppose it would be better to use OTRS. The bad thing is that I am not sure where we should handle it in it. It might be the usual Permissions queue or some new one. A discussion needs to be started to decide that I suppose. --Base (talk) 22:15, 9 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

oh, yeah... maybe it is really better to have a separate OTRS queue for this? so some folks from Communications can have the access to verify? OTRS volunteers can add some "special template" about this "special permission" (and it would add the media to a category on Commons) --アンタナナ 12:19, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
OTRS admins: @Daniel, Emufarmers, Keegan, Krd, Mailer diablo, Matthewrbowker, Raymond, and Rjd0060: could you suggest anything? --アンタナナ 12:19, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Antanana: It's possible to do either, of course. We can set up a subqueue of Permissions or a separate queue. I would think that it might be wisest to tie it to permissions, though I am not familiar with this specific program.
Feel free to contact otrs-admins@lists.wikimedia.org for a queue request. ~ Matthewrbowker Drop me a note 19:04, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I'm the digital media manager for the WMF handling permissions to post photos on social media. If a photographer wishes to make his or her photo(s) that are not licensed PD or CC0 available for posting on our accounts, they can email the internal social media list, which will reach the admins of those accounts but not make information public. That email is socialmedia-internal(_AT_)wikimedia.org. Or they can email me at jelder(_AT_)wikimedia.org. We would also encourage anyone interested in our social media to join this Facebook group where Wikipedians practice posts, compare notes and share from their pages. Thanks so much.
