Talk:Translation requests/PR-1mil/Ar:

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki
  • In the first line of the Press Release it is misleading to put a link to Arabic Wikipedia .. I think it would be better to have a link to English Wikipedia, or to Wikimedia foundation site. Specially that right after the link it states that Wikipedia started in Jan 2001, so it could be understood that Arabic wikipedia started in Jan 2001, which is not the case.
  • There are other small changes that I will make my self.. I hope it is fine with the initial translator (Ayman) who did a great work . --Isam 19:18, 14 Sep 2004 (UTC)
I put a link to Arabic Wikipedia because the original version suggested so, I also noticed that other languages linked to their local Wikipedias too.
As for making changes, sure, I'd be glad if you do so, isn't Wikipedia all about collaborative work? ;)

OK then, no problem, You're the man :) Do you have mobile number that you can put for press contact ? or you prefer not to give your phone number ? -- Isam
I added my phone number. Any ideas on how/where to send the press release [to]? Or do you prefer to discuss that in the Arabic Wikipedia? I think it's a good chance to give ar: more publicity. --Ayman
I reformatted the contact info paragraph, and I suggest you add your info too if you like, we need several contacts in the Arab world. --Ayman 02:58, 16 Sep 2004 (UTC)
