Bemerkungen textarea[edit]

The original form at http://www.ru-info.de/upload_neu.htm has "6. Bemerkungen (remarks or comments?)" textarea, but forms on meta don't have. I think this textarea is useful and new forms should have. What do you think? e-Goat 07:02, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Discussion?[edit]

Where's the discussion for the new upload form? This makes nontrivial changes to the structure of uploading, as fair-use images aren't supported directly. It's insane to think that users will stop uploading copyrighted works and slapping 'fair use' on them; removing that option will cause much more confusion as copyrighted images are labeled GFDL.

Oh. Found the 'fair use' option. There should be a note saying that 'other' includes fair use.

Also, what about the specific PD types like PD-USGov? Seems like we'll be losing information here. Grendelkhan 21:04, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Also, there's a category system already in place for licensed images, using tags like {{GFDL}} and the like. The results section of the new upload form should work with and respect that. Grendelkhan 21:06, 30 Aug 2004 (UTC)
