Talk:Universal Code of Conduct/Functionary consultations/June and July 2021

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

Hi @Keegan (WMF) and BAnand (WMF):, thanks for preparing this consultation! The eligibility criteria for participating seem somewhat unclear - what are "Functionaries Emeriti"? Which communities are considered emerging communities? (Should we follow this list?) Should people who are multiple groups sign up for all relevant consultations or pick one? I've pinged to sign up here but I'm unsure which section(s) I should sign up to - your help is appreciated. --Tgr (talk) 21:34, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Tgr: good questions. People who are in multiple groups should sign up for all relevant consultations they can attend, as each is aimed at the perspective of a particular group. I've removed the "functionaries emeriti," the intent was to maybe have a group for former rights holders to all meet together but instead I think the better path is former rights holders being able to attend the appropriate group if possible. We're developing our own simplified definition of emerging community that we'll publish and list here with the invitees, that should happen later this week. I've made some edits to the page to reflect some answers to these questions, I'll continue to add to the page as more becomes available. Keegan (WMF) (talk) 16:15, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
