Lost contributions during rename

Hello, I just decided to become active again after seeing the "culture wars interview" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJezMMCogXw I only then opened the account rename email from 2015. I was able to log in with the new username, but found that my contributions are not linked to that new username? orriginal name "Seadevil" new name "Seadevil~enwiki"

In the third paragraph, up to five words are missing at the beginning of the sentence "There will week between for candidates to answer questions".

Am I eligible for the U4C election?

Hi Keegan, I saw your message on the talk page from a few fellow admins on nlwiki. I've been interested in the UCoC and U4C and I have been thinking about joining the elections. However.. I've been an admin since January 31, 2026 which makes me doubt if I am eligible or not. Could you help me out? Thank you for inviting me to be a candidate for U4C. Given that I am 78 years old, I would still ask for your understanding not to accept such a possibility of candidacy. I am preparing to stop being an administrator next year, I will leave that to the younger members of the team. I'll just be a regular member of the rsk team while I can contribute to enriching our wiki. Dear Keegan (WMF),

you (or better: "MediaWiki message delivery" on your behalf) wrote on my talk page on de.wikinews that I might be an eligible candidate for the U4C.

Given that the Sister Projects Task Force of the Wikimedia Foundation Community Affairs Committee has proposed shutting down Wikinews (as of 4 May 2026), and the Board of Trustees has approved this proposal, by the time of the election of the U4C I will no longer meet the conditions set by the U4C, namely holding extended rights (such as admin rights) on at least one Wikimedia project.

Request for voting eligibility exception in the U4C election

I am writing to request an exception to the "20 edits in the last 6 months" requirement so that I may vote in the current U4C election. I have over 30,000 edits across 21 Wikimedia projects, and have received the "Author of the Week" award twice. My ineligibility stems from a previous competition where 45 of my articles were deleted in less than 5 minutes, followed by a two‑week block. That block is the sole reason I did not meet the 20‑edit threshold, and the same campaign also prevented me from obtaining the "Autoreviewer" and "Editor" rights, even though my record of contributions would have otherwise qualified me.
