User group?

[edit]

Now that the convenings + grants have been continuing for a few years does it make sense to list members and contacts and formalize a way to contact people? I added a separate subpage for the grants process so the main page can be about the history and other work. –SJ talk  21:01, 5 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Makes sense - added more info to the main tab to help track activities over time. - Anika

Open access requirements

[edit]

For research projects funded with WikiCred grants, is there a requirement that the results have to be made publicly accessible as open access? (like for various other WMF-funded grant streams)

Asking because of this newly published paper ("Inverting {{Citation needed}}: critical design reflection of a citation learning game"), which says "This work was supported by WikiCred" in the funding acknowledgements, but is being sold for $50 USD per 48 hours of access. (At the very least the authors should post a publicly accessible copy elsewhere, as permitted by this particular journal/publisher. CCing Sjgknight, the lead author)
