Hi, Iopensa! Thanks for submitting your application and for planning the event. I have a question about scholarships for international participants and their potential support from the Wikimedia Foundation – do you mean any grant program in particular? Wikimania-related scholarship programs do not cover international travel; are there any other grant programs you have in mind? Aced (talk) 19:55, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Aced, I put an interrogation mark because i don't know. The event is not designed to support international scholarships and it is meant to have participants managing their own travel, food and accommodation costs. I think Wikimedia CH and other European chapters probably have program for reimbursements for volunteers/staff/board to attend events. Maybe Wikimedia Foundation too? For this reason I put them there with the question mark. Wikimedia Italia has some funds of this kind for volunteers based in Italy. Do you have any suggestion? I'm not aware of the the Wikimedia Foundation having any programs to fund individual international travel to events for volunteers; I suppose there are no such programs. In such case, I suggest removing the WMF from plans and relying only on European affiliates. Aced (talk) 20:22, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
