Made some changes[edit]

Hi all! As per the inviting message at the top of the page, I've boldly made some changes to the post, adding links and adjusting wording. A diff of my changes is this, I was considering embedding the video tour into the blog post but when it's converted to the blog such as the monthly report, it's a screenshot with a link to Commons. Do you know if there's a way to embed it (maybe embed the YouTube video)? Best, Thehelpfulone 18:55, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

general context[edit]

Hi Fabrice and Steven, I think it would be helpful to add some general context at the beginning of this post about page creation and the challenge it presents to editors and the health of the encyclopedia. Maybe something like, "Every day ___ articles are created on Wikipedia, which translates into an enormous amount of work for the ____ editors who routinely check the quality and notability of the new articles, what's called "New Page Patrol." To help the editors who do this important work, the Wikimedia Foundation today announced the launch of Page Curation, a new suite of tools for reviewing new pages on Wikipedia." Or whatever you like, but please consider contextualizing for a general interest audience in addition to seasoned WP editors. Thanks, Matthew (WMF) (talk) 21:33, 24 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
