Clarity on how interconnection was synthesized[edit]

@Ziko: Just took this out of draftspace. Curious about your opinion on whether this makes clear the process of arriving at interconnection. Let me know if you think there's anything that should be further expanded. --ELappen (WMF) (talk) 21:06, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

97 community members?[edit]

You state on the other side that 97 community members were at those workshops. If I add them up, I get this:

  • Oslo: 11 volunteers, 12 Wikimedia Foundation staff, and 11 affiliate staff participated.
  • Bengaluru: 26 volunteers and 15 Wikimedia Foundation staff participated
  • Online: 17 volunteers and 6 Wikimedia Foundation staff participated

That's just a max of 54 volunteers vs. 44 functionaries (if I count the Board members as volunteers, but those, that participated were at least those selected by the community), thus heavily stuffed with those, who promoted the renaming, not really a welcoming atmosphere for basic dissent. In Oslo the few volunteers were completely overwhelmed by those who pushed for this renaming, so it was clear, that this workshop was completely biased ans not open.
