Language interpretation Request Deadline[edit]

Hi all,

Thank you for trying to provide interpretation for non-English speaking users. You stated that we can request interpretation "up until 5 days before the meeting." Does this mean 5 business days or 5 calendar days? LMK.

Thanks,

Hi RA - we messaged via email, but I wanted to reply here, too. Five calendar days is enough time for us to make arrangements.
Thank you!

@MLee (WMF), hello, let me express deep appreciation towards applying interpretation to the important meeting.
I am fully aware the challenges and talent en-ja interpreter welcomes, as like non-Latin languages such as of Eastern European, we talk in S-C-O-V format. Drops the subject often times. It is one small gap that inclusiveness can solve to prevent untie language groups from the Movement direction IMHO. Please do advise them we have several glossaries as you are aware of, multi language lists of Wikimedia jergons.[1]
FYI, We have had Meta jergon glossary en-ja since before 2010 on Meta, and we on jawiki have recently manufactured our own terminology/glossary for Wikimedia jargons/endemic words/phrases,[2] with our wonderful facilitator bridging with Meta; now the TermBase, a glossary, is open to anybody on Meta.[3]
I guess we are in good vibe, aren't we?
MediaWiki/MW-wiki terms at 1;
jawiki en-ja Meta terms at 2;
Termbase 3 in de, en, ja, and ko.
