This is a very nice initiative. Does anyone feel like creating a userbox for indicating membership? :-) But I wouldn't be happy with redirecting the communicaton to Facebook. Not everybody has a FB account and some people like to keep their anonimity. I think, a Wikimedia-related project should stay home. Bináris tell me 07:02, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Congrats!

[edit]

Hello, congrats on the recognition. Looking forward to learning more about this group and its work, hopefully soon on mediawiki.org, since that's where the devs community lives. Best, --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 10:11, 29 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Elitre! We hope to work with you too. Indeed we are here for building tools to solve various problems :). Do you wish to be added to the organization account on Github as a member? --Alangi Derick (talk) 21:57, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Adding members of the group to the Github organisation

[edit]

Hell everyone,

We wish to add members of the UG to the group's Github organization where we can push our codes / tools / projects. If you want to be a member of this organization, please do drop your Github handle here so that we can directly give you access to the organisation here: Wikimedia Tool Developers. This way, we will have a collection of tools in one place for the UG, and these tools can be new ones that you want to create or existing ones. Thanks and waiting to start getting Github handles soon. --Alangi Derick (talk) 22:02, 3 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey everyone, TL;DR, see Technical Collaboration/Community collaboration in product development/Tech ambassadors and translators to provide feedback on the role of tech ambassadors and tech translators until August 22nd, or in person at Wikimania. All details on page. Any help spreading the word is certainly appreciated :) Ciao, --Elitre (WMF) (talk) 14:13, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
