Update and Query about East Indian languages[edit]

Hi, sorry to come-in on this so late. An update...I have posted this on Telugu Wikipedia Village pump here. Also a query: You have mentioned that the edit-a-thon will focus on East Indian Languages. Should one assume that this means the event is restricted to Odia, Bangla, Assamese and other North Eastern languages? (I am not sure if these qualify to be East Indian Languages). As this event is happening in Hyderabad, which is in south India, it is more likely that you may also see participation from south Indian language Wikimedians. Could you please clarify if you have specific choice of Indian Languages? Thanks. --Visdaviva (talk) 10:25, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Visdaviva, I didn't write the page myself so I can't be exactly sure of the meaning. But from my perspective, the intent is for the conference to be inclusive as possible. So if there are people from the region who want to attend, then we will try to accommodate them. We are at the deadline now, so we need to hurry and get them registered if they are local and interested in attending. FloNight (talk) 18:37, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
