Template talk:FDC proposal hub

Broken link[edit]

It seems like this link on the hubpage does not match the naming convention you use in the page creation tool and therefore results in a broken link after creating a proposal. [[{{PAGENAME}}/Proposal form v1|{{SUBPAGENAME}} proposal form]]

Done Fixed! Thank you! heather walls (talk) 00:17, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

images for the steps[edit]

this is AWESOME! I just was breezing through, though, and the first thing I found myself doing is clicking on the circle image to see if it would take me to a different "step." Instead, it took me to the image's description page. This isn't a big deal, but since so other images in the FDC templates are used to navigate, would it be useful/possible to remove the links from these? Not a big deal, just thought I would share my user experience! Jwild (talk) 17:13, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done Good call! We can link them to the steps, but for now I will just get rid of the linking at all. Thanks! heather walls (talk) 17:19, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Link to proposal[edit]

Is it just me or there is no link to the actual proposal in this template? It is quite difficult to expect one to discuss a proposal if it is hidden or difficult to find (under an unlinked "/proposal form" subpage). --Bence (talk) 10:21, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bence, on every proposal hub there are links to every form that is created. You will find them after "Eligibility of this entity is: PENDING Forms linked to this proposal include:" you can see one in this example. Additionally, all the entities and forms will be found here. heather walls (talk) 12:39, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks! I was looking for them under step 3 and 4. I think it would make sense to link the proposal forms from those steps; and also the impact report (which is linked at the top) from step 8. Best, --Bence (talk) 12:53, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Warning in the template[edit]

Is it possible to remove or soften the warning displayed on the top of the template page? It has been here since July 2012 and one can think it is currently under heavy reform although I guess it is not the case. Could something like "please don’t make heavy change on this template without previously speak about it in the talk page and preferably ask User:Heatherawalls about it." be written instead? Thanks ~ Seb35 [^_^] 10:40, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Closed process[edit]

I suggest adding an ultimate step in this template: "closed process" (or any better title), marking the complete end of all steps (all reports submitted). This would put the pages in an "archive" state, warning the readers that no more changes are expected on the state/page. Currently the last step is "reporting", but this is a bit misleading for really closed processes (e.g. WMFR 2012-13round1). ~ Seb35 [^_^] 22:22, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
