Hmm, das Layout war zweimal ein wenig hinüber: einmal waren die neuen Vorlagen ein wenig lang sorry: kurz ;-) , dann war die linke Tabelle zusammengeschrumpft. :-( Ich hab's nun geändert. Hallo, Manecke! Vermutlich werde ich nicht übermäßig viel Zeit haben, mich um Übersetzungen zu kümmern. Mir ist bei manchen gewünschten Übersetzungen auch nicht so ganz klar, wie "dringend" sie sind. (In der einen Kategorie habe ich beispielsweise noch Seiten aus den Jahren 2005 gefunden. Da ist es wohl nicht so sinnvoll, noch eine Übersetzung anzufertigen, oder?) Da das Team ja noch im Aufbau ist, werde ich wohl erst mal ein wenig abwarten und schauen, wie sich das Ganze entwickelt. Eine Übersicht über die gewünschten Übersetzungen incl. Fundraising translation feedback

Hey Aholtman, I have a bit of a request to ask from you. We pulled down our banners nearly a fortnight ago for what was a highly successful international fundraiser and brought the curtain down on last years fundraiser. This week however we will be changing payment processors and during the testing of the new system it would be useful to use the time productively on on testing banner text.

To help us out with this I wonder if you would be willing to help us improve our geman text using This Link

One change I made was to replace the German word "Stiftung" by "Foundation". I am not sure that every German is aware of the fact that the word "Foundation" in "Wikimedia Foundation" - which appears in the sentence before - is translated to "Stiftung" in German. If one keeps the (English) word "Foundation" which is also used in German, the context should be clearer to all German speaking readers. Regards, --Angela H. (talk) 17:24, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

English/German translations

Dear Aholtman, I am contacting you to introduce myself. My name is Jessica Robell and I have recently joined the Wikimedia Foundation as a part of the fundraising team. My work will be focused to a large extent around translations. I am very interested in finding engaged Wikipedians, such as yourself, who would be interested in contributing with their time to translate shorter text from English to German. We have for example recently put up a 'Thank you letter' from the Wikimedia Foundation's ED Sue Gardner for translation, using the translation extension.
