Add topicJSTOR account redistribution (The Wikipedia Library)
[edit]Hi - according to our records you received a free account for JSTOR through The Wikipedia Library. Because we’ve used up all of our allocated accounts, and it’s been some time since they were distributed, we want to redistribute any accounts that aren’t being used to users on our waitlist.
If you’re still using, or plan to use, your JSTOR access, no problem! Simply head over to the Library Card platform, log in, and request a renewal of your account. You should be able to do this from your user page, or the JSTOR signup page. If you can’t find the renewal button, or have any other issues or questions about this, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. We’ll begin redistributing inactive accounts in September; if you request renewal after then we will only be able to reactivate your account if we have spots remaining. Thanks, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:32, 20 August 2018 (UTC)

Community Wishlist Survey 2019 - Section Name in Diff
[edit]Hello!
The Community Tech team (WMF) has officially started the project for Section Name in Diff, the #9 wish from the 2019 Community Wishlist Survey!
You previously voted for this wish, so we are now contacting you. We invite you to visit the project page, where you can read a project analysis and share your feedback.
We hope to see you on the project talk page, and thank you in advance!

The 2021 Community Wishlist Survey is now open! This survey is the process where communities decide what the Community Tech team should work on over the next year. We encourage everyone to submit proposals until the deadline on 30 November, or comment on other proposals to help make them better. The communities will vote on the proposals between 8 December and 21 December.
The Community Tech team is focused on tools for experienced Wikimedia editors. You can write proposals in any language, and we will translate them for you. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing your proposals!
18:25, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

We invite all registered users to vote on the 2021 Community Wishlist Survey. You can vote from now until 21 December for as many different wishes as you want.
In the Survey, wishes for new and improved tools for experienced editors are collected. After the voting, we will do our best to grant your wishes. We will start with the most popular ones.
We, the Community Tech, are one of the Wikimedia Foundation teams. We create and improve editing and wiki moderation tools. What we work on is decided based on results of the Community Wishlist Survey. Once a year, you can submit wishes. After two weeks, you can vote on the ones that you're most interested in. Next, we choose wishes from the survey to work on. Some of the wishes may be granted by volunteer developers or other teams.
We are waiting for your votes. Thank you!

Tagging translations
[edit]Dear Bruce1ee,
Please don't directly tag translations, as you did here. Please firstly take a look to the page history before tagging. I also mean it as a warning. Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker (CA) 09:21, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- @Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker: Sorry, I didn't realise there was an earlier version I could have reverted to. I be more careful next time. Were the other two translations I tagged here and here correct? There were no earlier versions to revert to. —Bruce1ee 09:26, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- The other ones are done correctly, these are not a translation into Dutch. Nieuwsgierige Gebruiker (CA) 09:28, 2 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. —Bruce1ee 09:30, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Warning (no, I'm not warning you lol)
[edit]Hello and thanks for your work at antivandalism. I recommend using {{bv}} for cases like User talk:31.121.49.10, which makes a clearer warning about the consequences if the user clearly did not act in good faith. ~~~~

- @1234qwer1234qwer4: You're right, the user's edit was not in good faith, and I should have issued a more sterner warning. I'll keep {{bv}} in mind next time. Thanks. —Bruce1ee 17:10, 14 May 2021 (UTC)
Internet Archive
[edit]Hello, you deleted my question in the discussion. Who, please, is in charge of archiving site URLs and where can I ask a question? I thought you were in charge of URL archiving, but apparently you are not. Who can I contact?
The text above was copied from Google Translate, where it was translated from Czech (cs) to English (en). The following is the original text in Czech (cs). / Text výše byl zkopírován z Překladače Google, kde byl přeložen z češtiny (cs) do angličtiny (en). Následuje originální text v češtině (cs).
Dobrý den, v diskusi jste mi smazal dotaz. Kdo prosím má na starost archivaci URL stránek a kam mohu dotaz položit? Myslel jsem, že archivaci URL máte na starost Vy, ale zřejmě tedy nemáte. Na koho se mohu obrátit? Marek Genius (talk) 14:37, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- To be honest, I don't know. But User talk:InternetArchiveBot is not the correct page. You could ask you question at Tech or the Help Forum. Perhaps someone there will be able to point you in the right direction. —Bruce1ee 15:02, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
