Wikidata primary sources tool: call for support

[edit]

Dear @Innotata:

it seems that you have been using the Wikidata primary sources tool, right?

If you think that the tool needs an uplift, please consider an endorsement of the StrepHit IEG renewal through the following link:

m:Grants:IEG/StrepHit:_Wikidata_Statements_Validation_via_References/Renewal#Endorsements

Feel also free to comment the work plan in the renewal talk page: your thoughts are essential.

Thanks a lot for your time, looking forward to your feedback.
Cheers,

soweego project: call for support

[edit]

Dear @Innotata:

Remember the Wikidata primary sources tool? Thanks to your support, my team has recently started building its next version (yes, the grant process took a long time). A couple of new features are deployed, so feel free to give them a try.

I'm reaching out to draw your attention on a new use case for the tool. The main goal is to add a massive amount of identifiers to Wikidata, ensuring live maintenance of links.

Do you think that Wikidata should become the central linking hub of open knowledge? If so, I'd be really grateful if you could endorse the soweego project:

m:Grants:Project/Hjfocs/soweego

You just have to click on the blue button in the infobox. Of course, any other comment is more than welcome on the discussion page.

Looking forward to your valuable feedback.
Best,

Mix'n'match and soweego: call for support

[edit]

Dear @Innotata:

       TL;DR:

First, thank you for being a Mix'n'match [1] user.

Does the name soweego ring you a bell?
It's a machine learning system that links Wikidata to large catalogs [2].
It's a close friend of Mix'n'match, which mainly caters for small catalogs.

The latest catalogs uploaded by soweego need some love: why don't you check them out?
If you are a music enthusiast, Discogs and MusicBrainz are what you need: musicians [3], [4], bands [5], [6], and records [7], [8].
Are you passionate about cinema? IMDb is there with actors [9], directors [10], musicians [11], producers [12], writers [13], and movies [14].

I would be really grateful if you could support soweego with a GitHub star:
https://github.com/Wikidata/soweego

Best,

Re contact

[edit]

Hi. You haven't provided any detail in your message about where you were blocked whether it is local or global, or the information about the block to be able to interpret the issue. I am going to guess that this is a global issue, and point you to Global blocks/FAQ and SRGP. If it is a local issue at wiki, like enWP, then you should be following the instruction like at w:en:Wikipedia:UTRS as that is the management process that exists for requesting unblocks at wikis. If you are simply after an IP block exemption for a single wiki like enWP, then on your user talk page there, you can request an IP block exemption from them, usually via an {{unblock}} request. If you follow that latter route, then feel welcome to ping me and I will have a look.  — billinghurst sDrewth 09:56, 15 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
