Welcome to Meta!

[edit]

Hello Etherfox, and welcome to the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki! This website is for coordinating and discussing all Wikimedia projects. You may find it useful to read our policy page. If you are interested in doing translations, visit Meta:Babylon. You can also leave a note on Meta:Babel or Wikimedia Forum (please read the instructions at the top of the page before posting there). If you would like, feel free to ask me questions on my talk page. Happy editing! Ottava Rima (talk) 13:36, 25 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Username change

[edit]

According to your request, while trying to rename your username, the following warning message appeared. Is it fine with you? "User Waterfox has been migrated to the unified login system. Renaming it will cause the local user to be detached from the global one. " GaiJin 16:07, 19 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Yes. — Waterfox ~talk~ 16:29, 21 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

About your vote

[edit]

Hello KuduIO. I just wanted to notify you that you forgot to sign your vote. I see that some are removed from the vote page, and I found it more loyal to warn you before it is deleted.

By the way, thanks for the comment, I really appreciated the first sentence. But I can't understand why, if you were persuaded I was one of the best candidates, you thought about opposing just because of what Zetud said. Is this for the IRC log (3-4 lines not more, and I was not aware that it is forbidden), or for the fact that he said I'm immature and he is not able to quote any other argument than this IRC log or wrong informations about local candidacies ?

I just wanted to know (I'm curious) because if I get elected, I don't want to deceive the community at all, and want to be sure that the way I act is okay for everybody. Thanks by advance. -- Quentinv57 (talk) 05:48, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

First of all, I'd like to say that you just scored a +1! The fact that you responded means that you care about your voters, and their opinion, not just in the goal of making them vote for you, but to improve your performance. Thanks for the tip on the signature - I've now signed it. Usefully, I speak fr-4, so I'll read through your recent RfA and look at your stalktoy results and then possibly move my vote. — Kudu ~I/O~ 13:40, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I try to improve as much as I can, and will continue to do so as a steward. I have always taken the comments people sent me into account. I think that what really matters is not to have some errors in the past (furthermore if they are subtle, errare humanum est), but to change his behaviour to be sure it won't happen again.
I would invite you to read my answers too, particularly to the question from Trijnstel. I have the feeling that people definitely don't want me as a sysop on frwiki, and that's why I've forgotten this idea, my work being far much appreciated on meta. When you propose sysops to help them and several oppose you with the comment "I have the feeling that you come on Wikipedia just to get sysop rights" or "you're really immature" without any example showing how I can improve myself, that's really hurting. But never mind, have a nice week-end ! -- Quentinv57 (talk) 18:35, 17 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Global CSS/JS migration

[edit]

Hello KuduIO. You have global scripts in User:KuduIO/global.js, which you import using your local JS pages. Since August 2014, your global.js and global.css pages are loaded automatically on all wikis. Since you already import them yourself, you may experience script errors or tools being added twice. Do you want me to remove the global imports from your local pages using Synchbot (without changing any other content)? —Pathoschild 02:22, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi again! I haven't heard back from you, so I'll assume you don't want to do this. Feel free to leave me a message or add a Synchbot request if you change your mind. :) —Pathoschild 17:04, 09 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
