API for global accounts[edit]

I have not found any API for getting a list of global bots (you may file a bug if there is none yet); however, if you are looking for an information about an individual user, this may be useful. vvvt 10:01, 29 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

Innocent iwbot@ptwiki[edit]

Hi, Lavallen. I just want to make sure that I didn't deny your request with my comment here. I can not even do that, as I am not a steward. I tried to explain why the flag would be necessary for you to start with test edits with the bot on pt.wiki. Per what I could read, the request was denied after your withdrawn. Maybe you want reopen it?
Sorry if I was not clear. Regards.” Teles (T @ L C S) 05:54, 11 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

No, I stay as it is. If it is the choise of ptwiki to make it that complicated to testrun a bot, it's their loss. It's my offer to help other wikis with these things, it's not my obligation. I will be busy doing other things on other projects, don't worry! -- Lavallen 08:12, 11 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I don't think it is the choice of pt.wiki. I am an user from pt.wiki and I am here trying to make your request be approved, though it is not my obligation either. Autoconfirm flag is not a big deal and it would surely be approved if you hadn't removed your request. Apparently, the Captcha problem is not faced by some others scripts and other bots didn't require that, but with a little patience this issue could easily be solved. Certainly, this approval only depends on you and I won't insist in respect of your desire. Regards.” Teles (T @ L C S) 07:57, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Your settings for autoconfirmed accounts looks different than on all other projects I have studied. The normal is that you are autoconfirmed after 4 days, no matter how many edits you do. And I have not seen any captcha on a wiki, unless I have added an external link. -- Lavallen 12:37, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
You are right. It is also required ten edits. In fact, this requirement is the same for a few other wikis (look for "AutoConfirmCount" here). As I could see, Captcha is enabled only on pt.wiki and tr.wiki. We know about the existence on this 'barriers'; they are intended to avoid or slow down harmful edits. Local users are responsible for ensuring that good faith editors won't be prejudiced by these barriers. I would understand if you are upset with these barries and you don't want to reopen your request; maybe you can allow me to handle this case on pt.wiki and on Meta for you. If you authorize me, I can reopen it. Regards.” Teles (T @ L C S) 22:32, 12 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
I am not upset, but tired of all the red tape I have to handle on every wiki. Ptwiki is not the only wiki with slow bot-administration.
I do not know if your local admins/crats can grant the confirmed-flag, but I recommend you to get that possibility locally. (I am aware that Commons has that possibility.) The captcha also makes harm for those of us who are weak in eyesight. (It is rare that I pass a captcha in the first try.) Maybe you also should inform newbies and botowner that the captcha can be shut of by requesting a confirmed-flag? -- Lavallen 05:12, 13 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
It is indeed not possible to grant this flag locally. I accepted your suggestion and proposed that on pt.wiki. We might take a little long (perhaps 2 weeks) to reach consensus and have this implemented though.” Teles (T @ L C S) 07:34, 13 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Lavallen. It took more than two weeks (sorry about it), but I guess your request can now be attended. From now on, confirm flag can be granted by local users. If you still want to help pt.wiki with your bot, I would be glad to facilitate that. You just need to confirm on request page you want the bot to work there. The confirm flag will be given and you can start the test period. I hope you are still interested. Regards.” Teles (T @ L C S) 05:27, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

AAB@svwiki[edit]

Hejsan! --MagnusA (talk) 09:56, 28 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

--MagnusA (talk) 17:18, 28 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
