Quick question[edit]
Regarding this comment - I actually don't think we should be indexing Elsevier at the moment, I'm going to double check that but what was the issue you figured out? Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:09, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Samwalton9 (WMF), hello friend. I clicked on the ScienceDirect link and got a permission denied error. The thing I figured out was that Wikipedia Library requires an application to view that journal, and I had not submitted an application. Therefore it's arguably not a bug, but rather just me not having access. Hope that helps. –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:14, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Ah! Technically this is a bug :) In the default search results we're wanting to only display accessible results (by limiting to Bundle i.e. no-application-required collections), so this actually is something we need to configure. We're going to add an option to remove that limit too, but for now this is a great find :) Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:18, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- Samwalton9 (WMF), great, glad I could help. In the future if I find stuff, where should I report it? Phabricator, Talk:Library Card platform/Search, etc? –Novem Linguae (talk) 09:20, 26 August 2021 (UTC)
- That page is fine, or T269932. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 09:24, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Wikimedia Community Developers Group[edit]
Hey Novem, I thought you might be interested in a Wikimedia user group I'm hoping to start — the Wikimedia Community Developers Group will be "composed of both volunteer and staff developers" with an aim to "foster closer collaboration between all developers". Any feedback would be greatly appreciated — TheresNoTime (talk • they/them) 05:17, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hey @TheresNoTime. Great idea. I like the idea of a group that can support neglected software. I've gone ahead and joined. If you'd like additional feedback feel free to ask more questions. Happy holidays :) –Novem Linguae (talk) 06:05, 22 December 2022 (UTC)
