JurisPedia?

[edit]

Hey, this is a complete shot in the dark, but I was wondering if you happened to know anything about JurisPedia? –MJLTalk 19:20, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello dear MJL

I edit in JurisPedia in the Arabic version only --Osps7 (talk) 19:26, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Oh, that is amazing! Could you please put me in touch with whoever runs the site? I would like to talk to them about WikiLaw (3). –MJLTalk 20:25, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
MJL Certainly... and I will present the project to the Arab community in JurisPedia, especially since I have administrative powers in the Arabic version. --Osps7 (talk) 21:02, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Osps7: Oh my gosh, thank you!! :D –MJLTalk 21:05, 7 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

The team is looking for feedback about the responsibilities of the Leadership Development Task Force. This Meta page shares the proposal for a Leadership Development Task Force and how you can help. Feedback on the proposal will be collected from 7 to 25 February 2022.

Thank you,

WikiGap Challenge 2022

[edit]

Hi! As one of the participants of the WikiGap Challenge 2021, I wanted to inform you that we have launched the 2022 edition of the Challenge – and you are of course more than welcome to join! The landing page of the challenge is on this page. This year, due to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are extending the Challenge to 8 May. I hope this might give some extra time for everyone to take part.

As last year, the UN Human Rights Office has nominated some 25 women human rights defenders, this year specifically focusing on women active within the fields of environment and climate. Writing articles about these women yield bonus points.

Feel free to join, and reach out if you have any questions! Josefine Hellroth Larsson (WMSE) (talk) 16:23, 16 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Autopatrolled

[edit]

Hi Osps7, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrol right to your account, as you are a trustworthy user. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Meta:Autopatrollers. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! ~~~~

@1234qwer1234qwer4: Do reconsider this. Help:Two-factor authentication/ar is a machine translation. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 06:04, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Dear Minorax: The translation is not a literal translation, but rather a correct translation. There are some words that contain internal links, and there are Arabic terms that I translated correctly. I also translate correctly, being an expert in English. Osps7 (talk) 06:12, 28 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Minorax, could you please clarify how you identified this? ~~~~

Hey Osps7, I'm Ziski from the WMF Global Advocacy team. I just saw your Wikimania 2023 Raw Submission on copyright challenges. You sound like just the kind of person we should be talking to in general (we're always looking for regional allies and champions of digital rights) but also specifically as part of our copyright mapping project.

Would you be interested in a 30-minute call next week? I'm GMT. ~~ FPutz (WMF) (talk) 11:40, 14 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

UCDM 2024

[edit]

Dear, Osps7! I noticed that you have created separate page, connected to Ukraine's cultural diplomacy month, but directed to Arab community. While we really value such initiatives, I would recommend creating such a page on Arabic Wikipedia itself and then linking it to global landing page on Meta. This way, you could coordinate things in the local project in Arabic. Please get back to me if you have any questions or need any help. We can even design separate visuals esspecially for Arabic Wikipedia if requested. ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 11:32, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dear @ValentynNefedov (WMUA),
I deeply appreciate your thoughtful note. At the moment, I'm in the process of crafting a page on the Arabic Wikipedia, which I intend to link to the main page. Your observation and support are invaluable, for which I sincerely thank you. — Osama Eid (talk) 11:35, 9 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Azerbaijani translations

[edit]

Your translations for Movement Charter/Drafting Committee/Announcement - Results of the ratification vote are full of mistakes. Are you sure you know the Azerbaijani language? Nemoralis (talk) 20:46, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am 100% sure that you are using machine translation: [1], [2] Nemoralis (talk) 21:24, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
You are active but you didn't answer my question. Is this the silence that comes after being caught? Nemoralis (talk) 22:09, 21 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Nemoralis,
I hope you're well. Firstly, thank you for the warning. I've been learning Azerbaijani since early 2021, so I have some knowledge of the language. However, for the translation I sent, I relied on the automatic suggestions provided during the process. I should have reviewed and verified it, but I didn't. I appreciate your attention to detail and thank you for pointing it out. — Osama Eid (talk) 06:20, 22 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Don't translate if you don't know the language well. No one has to correct your mistakes in the language you think you know. Keep in mind that what you write will appear in front of native speakers, and they will not understand anything when they read it. Nemoralis (talk) 19:00, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
You also created articles with machine translation on azwiki, I have already deleted them all. Please stop doing such behavior. Nemoralis (talk) 19:01, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello!

My name is Olesia, and I’m a project manager for this year’s Ukraine’s Cultural Diplomacy Month. It’s a pleasure to connect with you!

We’re excited to announce that the 2025 campaign will launch on April 14 and run until May 16. You can find more details here: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Ukraine%27s_Cultural_Diplomacy_Month_2025
