Global sysops

Hi मनीष पँवार. Global sysops are expected to have a lot of cross-wiki activity before being appointed. Your CentralAuth shows that you have 1.500 edits globally spread across only 4 projects. If you compare that to the activity of global sysops, it's too low. If you wish to become one in the future, you can add a request here and the community will decide there. I'd suggest getting global rollback and having that right for quite some time before requesting to be a GS. ~Styyx^Talk? 12:39, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Blocking a VPN on hiwiki

Hello संतोष गोरे, sorry for coming back to you a bit late. I unblocked the range a few hours after you messaged, so you should be able to edit again now. Global sysops are not able to give rights to users (in this case IP block exemption), so you would've had to go through the process of getting a local admin to do it, but at least you don't have to now. ~Styyx^Talk? 12:29, 16 January 2023 (UTC)

Oh come on, by its own nature Wikivoyage is a very spammy project. It's almost impossible to know what info is normal and what is a spam link. I witnessed several times where spammers who got their backlinks about some business removed on sister projects who then proceed to add it as a barely relevant vCard on different Wikivoyage projects (not en.wikivoyage per se). I'm not denying this doesn't happen (it does, especially on smaller-language projects including fr.voy, per se), but trying to differenciate what's spam and what's not really boils down to language used (per voy:WV:TOUT). user talk page vandal

I notice that there are a number of recent deletions of user talk pages, created by a vandal, see pi:Special:Log/delete. pi:User talk:Czello‎, however, was not deleted. So, you may like to delete it and also the other user talk pages created by the same person on other projects. • Hello CX Zoom. Sorry for the late response. I hadn't been home the past week and I've just returned. I posted the previous IP on Global sysops/Requests for fellow GS to assist me before leaving but it appears that none of them have been deleted in the meantime. Considering this is now sort of getting out of hand I've escalated the issue to the Stewards' noticeboard. If you know any other IPs you can post them directly there.
