Contributing photos from personal archives

[edit]

Hello, I am a contributor since 2010... on my file list pages http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListFiles/Yani_papadimos. I have contributed various photos from the personal archive the Greek Photographer, and my father, Dimitri Papadimos (1918-1994). On a recent upload three files: File:Dimitri Papadimos, Athens 1944.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Dimitri_Papadimos,_Athens_1944.jpg File:Durell_Sherard_and_Harrison.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Durell_Sherard_and_Harrison.jpg File:Laurence_Durell_Dimitri_Papadimos_and_Hassan_Fathy.jpg http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Laurence_Durell_Dimitri_Papadimos_and_Hassan_Fathy.jpg by my mistake(?) I did not specify the correct license CC-BY-SA 3.0. I have added a notice on User Talk:Yani papadimos http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Yani_papadimos and File list http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:ListFiles/Yani_papadimos. I was wondering if these actions are enough so that these files may be used on articles both my own and others. It is my wish that any of these or future files may enrich the Wiki pages. My father was a professional photographer with a carrier over 50 years and over an archive of of approximately 65.000 b/w, 6x6 cm film negatives and their corresponding contact prints. Over his carrier he collaborated with known artists and writers who have articles in Wiki but lack photos. Thank you for your attention Yani papadimos (talk) 09:59, 15 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
