[Wiki Loves Literature - WLL]

[edit]

Abstract/description of your session

[edit]
  • WLL (Wiki Loves Literature) is an initiative to improve the content on various wiki projects related to the Literature field. In 2021, Nitesh and I organized this event in the Punjabi community and we got a huge response and then we decided to spread it among other communities. As a result of one to one conversion, finally we got positive responses from other communities too. So, in 2022, four communities (Punjabi, Odia, Assamese and Santhali) joined hands for a month for creating and editing articles on Wikipedia, creating entries on Wikidata and proofreading books on Wikisource.

How does it connect with the WCI 2023 theme/focus

[edit]
  • This conference is happening to encourage and learn Indic communities from each other and ours this initiative (WLL) is also the same kind of initiative in which four of indic communities collaborated for a month on various wiki projects.
