WikiDonne roadmap[edit]

WikiDonne roadmap, a project, selected from 24 other projects sent by the community, which received a grant from the Wikimedia Foundation for organize monthly online editathons, on person editathon, challenges and contests, international collaborations about female biographies. After the grantee block in Italian Wikipedia, the remaining funds of the grant ware turned back.

WikiCaffè[edit]

5 live weekly meetings about the 5 pilars for who want to participate in the project or simply want to have information about Wikimedia projects work at Literary Café in Rome

Mapping Days[edit]

Mapping days in OSM of female biographies from Wikipedia, using the MappiNA app, the Visual Notes category and the #wikidonne tag. We mapped Nilde Iotti, Artemisia Gentileschi, Flavia Giulia Elena, Maria Montessori, Ortensia, Anita Garibaldi and Beatrice Cenci biographies. The event was sponsored by the Roma Semplice Councilorship.

Commons uploads[edit]

We started to upload files in Public Domain or not covered by copyright: sheet music of operas, images considered not artistic and signature (text representation). Are very useful in case we have not free photos to use for the female biographies. We also request to professional photographers to release their photos in CC by SA.

Women profiles in Wikibooks[edit]

We created WikiDonne project in Wikibooks by starting to write female profiles from Lucania (written by students of High School of Arts in Potenza) and Veneto historical region.

- WikiAlpen Forum (online edit-a-thon). We translated articles about botanical gardens and women in the Alps.
- GLAM on tour at MAMCO. Our members were present at Musée d'art moderne et contemporain, the contemporary art museum of Geneva (Switerland).
- Women of the Mediterrannean in Marseille.
Inter WikiWomen Collaboration, second edition, a collaboration with wikipedians from Argentina, Armenia, Egypt, France, Switzerland and Cameroon to write women biographies.
AfroCine, contest about African cinema
Wiki Loves Music 2018, contest to write about music in Wikipedia. Event organized by Wikimedia Italia and Istituto centrale per i beni sonori ed audiovisivi, in cooperation with Iberocoop.
Wiki4MediaFreedom contest - first edition, to write about media freedom and pluralism in Europe. Event organized by Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa, where our members won the first and the second prize.
VisibleWikiWomen challenge organized by Whose's knowledge about taking pictures of notable women.
CEE Women 2018, April - May 2018. One of our members won the first prize for a non CEE language.

CEE Meeting 2018 - Lviv, October 13-15th, 2018. We presented a lightning talk about our User Group and our projects.

A presentation about our work user group and about our work on Wikipedia/Wikimedia projects in front of the Federazione Nazionale Stampa Italiana.

Wikidata birthday[edit]

We organized a talk about Wikidata during the Linux Day in Rieti, celebrating with a cake offered by Wikimedia Italy for the 6th Wikidata birthday.

Wikinews contest[edit]

Using a grant received from Wikimedia Switzerland, we engaged both professional journalists and wikimedians and organized a Wikinews 2018 contest (still live).
