About #WikiForHumanRights
The Wikimedia Foundation and UN Human Rights launched the #WikiForHumanRights campaign in December 2019 as part of a shared commitment to make human rights more accessible for all. The primary goal of the campaign is to improve and add articles about human rights on Wikipedia.
In celebration of Earth Day in April, the Wikimedia Foundation, UN Human Rights, the UN Environment Programme, and UNICEF are hosting a special edition of #WikiForHumanRights, focused on the right to a healthy environment. The campaign will run from 15 April to 15 May. It calls on volunteers to write and improve content on Wikipedia about human rights, a healthy environment, and the range of communities impacted by convergent environmental crises of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.
