    • HR onboarding has been happening quite a bit
    • Brought on as contractors - 2 so far have signed
      • option to be employees, though other employment may require exclusivity
    • We can add tasks for technical editors on the task page
  • Ukrainian WikiJournal proposal - invited speaker Oleksiy Boldyriev
    • In Ukraine, language barrier to publish in international academic journals
    • Ukrainian language journals can have bad reputation for non-thorough peer review
    • Therefore interested in the WikiJournals open peer reviewed model
    • Several academics & wikipedians within ukrainian community interested in testing
    • Suggested to do a special issue of WikiJSci for Ukrainian research as test.
      • Ukrainian language with english abstract translations
      • Enables interested editors to see how the process works
      • Minimises setup times
      • Ensures initial support
  • Wikimania wrap up
    • Andrew and Thomas did a presentation and short discussion sessions
    • Received positive feedback from attendees (good sample of wikipedia community)
  • Conference presentations
    • Need for presenters
      • Kelee and Eric expressed interest in presenting if assisted
    • Need a slide deck and a script
      • Slide decks in this presentations folder
      • Thomas can answer questions in preparing (deciding on slide composition, discussion points etc)
    • Potential for adding conference to a Wikiversity page with details: timezone, registration requirements, details about individual conferences
    • Wikiconference North America (October 8-10)? (draft submission)
      • Have put in submission with placeholder speaker, so waiting on conf. Organisers to indicate timeslot
    • Open Publishing Fest (November 8-19)?
      • 24-hour conference, so we can propose our own preferred timeslot

    • Idea to write a comparative analysis article across all WikiJournals, comparing subscription/paywall vs other OA journals vs pre-prints vs WikiJournals
    • Last summary editorial was 2018 (and was WikiJSci specific)
    • Is useful to have something to point potential contributors to
    • Industry comparison by business students in course Eric is assisting with
    • Additional description of author experience
  • Journal of Child and Adolescent Psychopharmacology is a good example of more detailed documentation
    • Checklists
    • Clearer info for different publication types
    • “Don’t surprise your friends” = making sure people expect any differences
  • 1 Minute summaries of final agenda items for which time ran out (Marked X in agenda)
